FAQ - Waxing

What type of wax is used?

We use a soy-based hair removal product for all waxing services. Because the soy-based hair removal product contains natural ingredients, it is safe for all skin types, is gentler on the skin compared to traditional wax, provides a less painful waxing experience, and reduces the likelihood of getting ingrown hairs.

If I get waxed will my hair grow back thicker, coarser, or darker?

Waxing does not cause you to grow more hair follicles. In fact, if you become a regular waxer, you will notice that your hair will become quite sparse and not as coarse.

Is there an age requirement or an age limit to get a waxing service?

We will wax clients of any age, but if you are younger than 18, we do require a parent/guardian to give consent for your waxing service. The only service that you must be 18 years of age or older is for the Brazilian wax.

Will waxing cause ingrown hairs?

Waxing doesn’t necessarily cause ingrown hairs, but you could get ingrown hairs if you’re prone to them. One big benefit of the soy-based hair removal product we use is that you’ll be less likely to get ingrown hairs.

How often should I get waxed?

We recommend getting waxed every 2-4 weeks depending on where on the face or body you’re getting your waxing service, your hair growth cycle, and your personal preference.
