FAQ - Permanent Jewelry

Is it safe to get permanent jewelry?

It’s completely safe and painless to get permanent jewelry! However, the “spark” that happens when the jewelry is being attached can be damaging if you were to look at it with your bare eyes so that’s why you’re provided with a pair of safety glasses to wear to protect your eyes.

If I need to remove my permanent jewelry, is that possible?

Removing permanent jewelry is actually really easy! You can simply cut the jewelry with a pair of scissors or wire cutters to remove the jewelry. And, if you remove the permanent and keep the chain, often times it can be welded together again when you’re ready to wear it again, so don’t throw away your permanent jewelry once it’s removed.

Is permanent jewelry indestructible?

Because jewelry isn’t typically designed to be worn all of the time, in doing so, as in the case of permanent jewelry, there is a risk of the jewelry getting tarnished or discoloring, the jewelry getting damaged, the jewelry breaking, and/or the jewelry stretching due to daily wear and daily activities.

Is there an age requirement or age limit to get permanent jewelry?

Since getting permanent jewelry is completely safe, you can be any age to get it and enjoy it!

Can I get my permanent jewelry wet?

Permanent jewelry is made with high-quality materials (14K gold or sterling silver), so it can get wet without damage; however, it’s a good idea to avoid prolonged exposure to harsh chemicals like chlorine or saltwater, which can affect the metal over time.
