FAQ - Body Care

Is it safe to get an ingrown hair treatment if I’m pregnant and/or breastfeeding?

With the products and protocol we typically use, an ingrown hair treatment is not recommended for pregnant and/or breastfeeding women. However, we can easily modify and adjust the products used and refrain from using the high frequency to ensure it's safe for you even if you're pregnant and/or breastfeeding so you can still experience all of the benefits.

Does it hurt to get an ingrown hair treatment?

An ingrown hair treatment is calming and soothing for the most part. If there are ingrown hairs present at the time of the service, removing the ingrown hairs can be slightly uncomfortable, but it's definitely not unbearable.

Am I a good candidate for skin lightening?

Skin lightening is perfect for both men and women and safe for all skin types, including persons of color and those with sensitive skin. If you’re pregnant and/or breastfeeding, please check with your doctor to make sure this is a safe option for you.

Is skin lightening safe?

The chemical products used for skin lightening are formulated to be very safe, gentle, and non-irritating, yet highly effective. Since chemicals are used for skin lightening, if you are pregnant and/or breastfeeding, it’s best to check with your doctor to make sure this service is right for you.

What results should I expect to see from skin lightening?

You’ll see a visible difference after just a few treatments. Of course, results depend on the cause and severity of the discoloration. A series of 3-6 treatments spaced 10-21 days apart is recommended, and then approximately every 3-4 months you’ll need another 1-2 treatments for maintenance. Following a consistent home care routine will provide you with optimal results.
